DRAWING

9 August 2019/Class 6/Ms.Sonia Mallick

Perspective, or in simple words, point of view was introduced today. It is an important concept in drawing and can make or break a composition. With a few correct guidelines one can show drama, sorrow, power, weakness and a whole lot of emotions.

Perspective is appiled in every print media, even camera angles and shots in movies use perpective to give a sense and feel of the scenes unfolding before the viewer’s/reader’s eyes.

We started with basic 1 point perspective and learned about Horizon lines, vanishing points and how to draw shapes and forms while mainting perspective. Our classwork was to explore and make a composition using 1 point perspective.

Work in progress

I decided to make top view of a street, during the drawing process I realized I can add more to it by modifying generic environments (adding depth to street, transparent buildings) and a man jumping off with a wing-like contraption just for fun. More details are to be added to fill the composition evenly.
