TIME

Mr.Jai Ranjit

The era was defined by hierarchy, a slow change in portrayal of women, the availability of choices which puts one on a crossroad where picking one is not an option. Through these elements, everyone struggled. They struggled to achieve something intangible which is out their reach due to societal standards, struggled for recognition and a their own identity, for redemption and their basic needs which were denied to them.

The zine captures some strong characters from the movies we saw and interact on a poppy colour scheme we decided to go with. Their simple dialogues reveal their intent and are direct and to the point.

We translated our response to our present times and chose to highlight one of issue which hasn’t changed anymore. Looking for a house in a city which never sleeps, does keep one up all night. When someone finally does come across one, the house goes beyond it’s physical structure and becomes a dream, people go about what is around the house rather the relationships they have inside it.
