A scarab signifies immortality, resurrection and transformation according to Egyptian beliefs. According to science it’s a type of beetle which rolls around in animal dung.

A Stela is a block or a tablet erected for funerary purposes or contains documented information. In this case since a scarab is a symbol of immortality it can be assumed that this Stela was made to commemorate a pharaoh’s death and was made to ensure his passage into afterlife. It also has hieroglyphs which means they may have a prayer or a message written on it.

Here the scarab is seen as a part of a narration perhaps, which depicts it as a hieroglyph along with other symbols. Since the first man started painting in caves we have had a history of putting narrations on walls. The scarab might be used as a symbol to denote the life of a god, as it is carved on a temple wall.

Scarabs were also used as commemorative objects. They were meant to convey that the event would be immortal. The one shown here looks like something to be kept on display as opposed to a wearable or a portable object.

The bracelet was found in King Tutankhamen’s tomb. That explains why the bracelet has been made from what looks like precious metals. It seems like a set of jewelry which belonged to him and was thus buried with him because Egyptians believed in life after death. The beetle also seems to have wings of a bird and is posed in a grand and powerful manner.

The symbol of a beetle, considered sacred and is used on coffins and large walls and structures, is carved into a brooch, making it a cosmetic item. It may have been used by royalty as a piece of jewelry. It can also be a due to some superstitious beliefs and worn as a talisman.
