We discussed our second project (first one being the mapping of the area on an A2 size sheet). For the next project we have to bring what we experienced in our location to the class.
We are given the dimensions of 1ftX1ftX1ft to work with. The installation can’t be a 3D model of the location because that is something which is based on a prerequisite or maybe labels given to that area.
We have to make the other person experience what we personally experienced there, these things can be done through sensory inputs or visual aids to make convey the idea.
For example to tell the people about the smell of the fish we can use an illustrations to depict it to them rather than bringing fish into the class (as we had planned of doing before).
The idea behind the installation is to show to others what your perspective is when it comes to this experience. The installation should be able to successfully communicate both the tangible and intangible elements of their experience to others.
