The faculty went through our sketches of the interaction which were approved in the last class. The sketches were to highlight all the relevant angles/sides of our interactions.
We chose the Punch blocking interaction and made concepts for wearable which will repel a punch.
This concept was utility based and consists of the basic things will be required to repel a punch. More work is to be done on the aesthetics.
Experimental concept to work on connecting the wearable and working around the point of interaction. The Red lines denote placement of magnets and the blue lines are suspensions which anchor the fingers together.
Experiment with mechanism, The mechanism can retract and fold into itself as it gives into the punch but at the same time maintain rigidity. More prototyping and material exploration to be done for this concept.
This concept was made to capture the actin of the punch. In an action or moving pose like this, we wanted to show explosion or particles coming out while at the same time repelling the punch ,the model will have channels which will pass through the fingers of the person blocking the punch. This concept can be merged with the mechanism concept to capture both the from and action of this interaction.
